Laboratory of System Analysis of Atmosphere Processes (LSAP)
The Laboratory of System Analysis of Atmosphere Processes (LSAP) was established by the decision of the Academic Council of IKIR FEB RAS dated November 7, 2024.
It includes employees of the Laboratory of System Analysis and the Laboratory of Atmosphere Physics.
The laboratory is headed by the Chief Researcher of IKIR FEB RAS, Dr. Sci. (Tech.) Oksana Viktorovna Mandrikova.
The main areas of work of the laboratory:
- application of methods of systems analysis and artificial intelligence tools for a comprehensive study of dynamic processes in geospheric shells initiated by solar and lithospheric effects;
- study of complexes of physical processes in natural environments based on a systems approach.
Scientific goals:
- Modeling and analysis of natural variations of ionospheric parameters and study of their space-time features. Investigation of ionospheric dynamic processes caused by increased solar activity and seismic phenomena.
- Investigation of the processes occurring in the geomagnetic field during disturbances and storms. Development of techniques and software tools for analysis and control of the Earth magnetic field state.
- Modeling of cosmic ray regular variations and investigation of their dynamic features during increased solar activity and during the interaction of the magnetosphere with interplanetary medium.
- Investigation of atmospheric electricity and interaction of geophysical shells.
