Multicomponent model of ionospheric parameter time series

The paper considers a multicomponent model (MCM) of ionospheric parameter time variations which was developed by the authors. The suggested model describes the parameter regular variations and detects the periods of anomalous changes in data. MCM identification is based on the combination of autoregressive-integrated moving average method with orthogonal multi-scale wavelet decomposition method. Based on statistic modeling, MCM high sensitivity and the possibility to apply it in the problems of analysis of ionospheric process dynamics and detection of ionospheric inhomogeneities are discussed.
