Senior Researcher of IKIR FEB RAS, Cand. of Sci. (Phys.-Math.) Solodchuk Alexandra Andreevna, participated in the work of the Youth Scientific School “Sciences on the Earth (Geography, Geology, Geophysics)”

The school is taking place in Kamchatka on October 15-18, 2024, at Vitus Bering Kamchatka State University. The partners are the Ecological Park “Inhabited Land. Ecumene”, IViS FEB RAS, KF FITs EGS RAS and IKIR FEB RAS.

The aim of the Youth Scientific School “Sciences on the Earth (Geography, Geology, Geophysics)” is the attraction of attention of young scientists, students of universities and schools to exchange their experience of scientific-investigation activities in the fields of sciences on the Earth. The School schedule includes lectures, presentations, master-classes, practical classes.

On October 15, Solodchuk Alexandra Andreevna, Cand. of Sci. (Phys.-Math.), Scientific Secretary, Senior Researcher of the Laboratory of Acoustic Investigations of IKIR FEB RAS, made the presentation “On the results of modeling of spatial distribution of intensified pre-seismic deformations in Kamchatka” within the framework of the scientific seminar.

The practical part of the School takes place on the territory of the Ecological Park “Inhabited Land. Ecumene”. Here the participants carry out scientific-research works on the investigation of the near zone and the bottom of Glukhoe Lake. Application of different methods (georadar, seismo-acoustic, echo-sounding and gas observations) will make it possible to obtain new scientific data on the unexplored Lake.
