Modeling and analysis of cosmic rays variations during periods of heliospheric disturbances

The work is based on the application of the method of modeling and analysis of variations in the intensity of cosmic rays developed by the authors. Method allows to allocate abnormal changes in the dynamics of the data and to obtain quantitative estimates of the time of their occurrence, the time duration and intensity. The modeling procedure involves joint use of construction of multiresolution wavelet decomposition and adaptive neural networks. We obtain assessments of the error of model by changing its various parameters (level of wavelet decomposition, the basic wavelet function), to identify their best values. Detailed analysis of cosmic rays is based on the algorithm proposed by the authors, which applying the continuous wavelet transform and threshold functions. Application of the developed approach has shown its high efficiency and allowed to identify abnormal changes in the recorded variations of cosmic rays that occur a few hours before the beginning of strong magnetic storms.
