A new mobile complex of VLF direction finder has been installed at Karymshina observation site of IKIR FEB RAS

Members of the Laboratory of Electromagnetic Radiation of IKIR FEB RAS, Leading Engeeniers, Kaysin A.V., Sannikov D.V., together with the Researcher, Cand. Of Sci. (Phys.-Math.) Malkin E.I, tested the performance capability of the new mobile complex of VLF direction finder and installed it at the observation point.

The VLF direction finder is capable of recording the parameters of magnetic and electric components of electromagnetic field, determining the directions of radiation arrival in real time, and it will be used for investigating electromagnetic radiation from lightning.
