A regular meeting of the International Seminar «Modern Problems of Mathematics, Physics and Informatics» will be devoted to the 85-th anniversary of the birth of Dr. Sci. (Phys.-Math.) Firstov Pavel Pavlovich

Firstov P.P. is was a geologist, leading researcher in the investigation of active volcanic processes and geodynamics of the Kuril-Kamchatka subduction zone.

The main research fields of his investigations are acoustic and radon monitoring, investigations of atmospheric electric field and eruptive cloud electrification, tiltmeter observations on volcanoes and volcanic seismology. He is the author of more than 280 scientific papers.

The Seminar will take place on April 10, at 10:00 (Moscow time) (12:00 — Tashkent time, 19:00 — Kamchatka time). The presentations will be made by his students and colleagues.
