Snowstorm is raging in Kamchatka

A cyclone has covered the peninsular again. It did not passed by our Institute. The snow covered the roads between the buildings. Staff members of Paratunka observatory shoveled the paths to the buildings where regular observations of magnetic field are carried out. It is undesirable to use any machines not to make noise. As the result of the efforts of our colleagues, the measurements are continued.

The maximum snow level at Paratunka observatory of IKIR FEB RAS is 220 sm by now. It is the highest level since 2018 when the snow cover exceeded the mark of 2.5 meters.
