The Counsellor of the Embassy of India, Sammer Abdul Azeez, visited IKIR FEB RAS

Director of the Institute, Dr. Sci. (Phys.-Math.) and Heads of IKIR FEB RAS Laboratories, Dr. Sci. (Tech.) Mandrikova O.V., Cand. Sci. (Phys.-Math.) Vodinchar G.M., Cand. Sci. (Phys.-Math.) Mishchenko M.A., Malkin E.I. told the Counsellor of the Embassy about the main scientific directions of the Institute, which include Physics of solar-terrestrial relations, fundamental problems of radio wave propagation, radiophysical and acoustic methods for diagnostics of the environment.

Head of the Group of atmosphere and ionosphere sounding, Bychkov V.V. presented the lidar methods and tools for investigation at the heights of 20-400 km.

Head of the CGPhO «Paratunka», Cand. Sci. (Phys.-Math.) Khomutov S.Yu., told about the IKIR FEB RAS observatories licensed as INTERMAGNET network observatories («Magadan», «Paratunka», and «Khabarovsk»). The Earth’s magnetic field is monitored at these sites.

The meeting was hold in friendly atmosphere and resulted in the discussion of the perspectives of development of the scientific-research cooperation.
