The paper “Atmospheric Electricity Measurements in the Pacific Northwest, Russia ” has been published

The paper describes a complex for measuring the electrical parameters of the surface layer of the atmosphere. The complex has been successfully operating in Kamchatka since 1997. Basic principles of organization of such measurements and methods for their implementation under specific conditions are given. The main reactions of the electric field to meteorological phenomena as well as to seismic and space events are shown. A peculiarity of the observatory is that it is located at mid-latitudes with temperate maritime climate, with a very small number of thunderstorms and in the region with high seismic activity. The paper presents the main results of the studies of geophysical processes obtained at the observatory. Measurement results of the complex are available in the Internet through a shared use center.
