DAILY PERIODICITY OF WEAK EARTHQUAKES AS A CONSEQUENCE OF NATURAL ELECTROMAGNETIC ELF-RADIATION INFLUENCE ON THE GEOENVIRONMENT

Mechanisms of daily periodicity of Kamchatka weak (К≤8,0) earthquakes with night maximum were in-
vestigated. It was shown that the specified effect is characteristic approximately for the 60% of the studied
territory. We concluded that the effect of daily periodicity of weak earthquakes may be caused by the influence
of ELF-frequency range natural electromagnetic radiation of atmospheric origin on the geoenvironment. The
authors point to the generality of this effect with the earlier revealed effect of modulating influence of natural
electromagnetic radiation on the intensity of rock geoacoustic emission.
