The aim of the presentation is to continue the analysis of relation of variations of weak seismic event flow
with the effect of electromagnetic fields (on the example of Bishkek geodynamic test site, Northern Tien Shan).
The main results were set at the previous, 4-th conference (Paratunka-2007); they show that some experimental
electromagnetic soundings of the earth’s crust using powerful sources of electric current (geophysical MHD-
generators, capacitor - thyristor electro-impulsive systems) influence the local seismisity. Nevertheless, the
problem is still urgent, since the physical nature of the phenomenon of weak event increase in number under
the influence of electromagnetic pulses has not been revealed yet.
The report presents new results; the effect of experimental sessions with current unipolar pulses as well as of
regular soundings by bipolar pulses during the monitoring of apparent resistance of a medium are considered.
We discuss the possibility to observe the secondary effects of seismicity redistribution which appear after the
main response to external action and which indicate partial stress unloading. In order to interpret the obtained
results and to develop the conception of influence of electromagnetic pulses of natural and man-made origin
on seismisity, a channel model was suggested; it describes the primary conversion of electromagnetic energy to
oscillating (mechanical) one. The model shows the reason, why the rate of electromagnetic pulse rise may be
significant in the effect of appearance of a medium response.
