ON A POSSIBLE MECHANIZM OF THERMAL REGIME CHANGE OF THE ATMOSPHERE

The mechanism of atmospheric temperature change due to vertical convergence and divergence of air streams,
forming the meridianal cells of global circulation system, is proposed. On the basis of heat influx equation for
the case of adiabatic process the numerical estimations of mechanism efficiency are demonstrated. It is shown
that at the mesospheric heights this mechanism may cause temperature regime changes with the efficiency of the
order 0.001 K/с, that may explain the existence of warm winter and cold summer mesopause. The experimental
data are presented which confirm the possibility of this mechanism realization in the atmosphere.
