Influence of a convective generator on daily variation of electrical field intensity

Daily variation of a potential gradient of electrical field intensity in the near ground atmosphere in fair
weather conditions was investigated. It is shown, that the maximum of electrical field daily variation at mid-
latitude Paratunka observatory is associated with morning convection in the near ground air. Difference of air
temperatures at the ground surface and at the height of 30 m was chosen as a standard of convective flow. High
correlation of the graph of temperature difference at these heights and daily variation of electric field intensity
was shown.
