The first results of monitoring of the Earth’s magnetic field total vector at ”Khabarovsk” magnetic obser-
vatory from 2006 after a long time break are presented. The registration of magnetic field DHZ-variations was
carried out by the means of a magnetic variation station CMVS-6, absolute values of magnetic field F intensity
module by a proton magnetometer MMP-203 and the magnetic declination D and inclination I were measured
by DI-fluxgate based on a non-magnetic theodolite TT-5. For comparison the data of the magnetic variation
station CAIS of Institute of Tectonics and Geophysics FEB RAS were also used.
The comparison between new F intensity module data with the data of 1974-1975 was performed as well as
with the data, estimated according to the IGRF international model.
The values of local K-index were calculated using digital magnetometer measurements and were compare
with K-index data, obtained by photorecording analog quartz Bobrov’s variometers. The conclusion on the
advantages of digital measurements was made.
The problems of quality of the measurements such as the accuracy of the absolute magnetometers, the ade-
quacy of new data to INTERMAGNET standards, the requirements to the recording software and to the type
of ADC are discussed. As an example the results of magnetic measurements using the ADC L-Card E24 and
E14-140 for CMVS-6 and CAIS are shown.
