Time-Frequency Analysis of Sound Range Acoustic Emission by the Sparse Approximation Method
- Institute of Cosmophysical Research and Radio Wave Propagation FEB RAS
The acoustic emission pulses induced by dislocation deformations in a medium propagate through solid bodies as elastic vibrations. The parameters of the acoustic emission are directly connected with the features of ductile deformation processes. Due to this there is interest in studying acoustic emissions. This allows us to develop methods for acoustic diagnostics of media where infrasound and ultrasonic pulses are most common. Infrasound pulses are applicable to the study of seismic processes; ultrasonic pulses, to the study of the strength of materials.
