Studies of ionospheric disturbances by GPS-radiosonding methods in the ISTP SB RAS
At the present time, monitoring of the Earth's ionosphere is moving to a new methodological and technological level with the full deployment of global navigation satellite system based on artificial Earth GPS and GLONASS satellites. This paper presents the main results on GPS detection of ionospheric disturbances of natural and man-made origin, obtained by the scientific group of GPS monitoring of the ISTP SB RAS in 2000-2010. The results of studies of ionospheric effects of solar flares, shuttle launches, earthquakes, solar terminator, geomagnetic storms, etc. are presented.
